Hi my name is Kate and I’m the Mum behind Rolling Along With Kids. Our family of four from Victoria, Australia love travelling to Bali. I have been on 8 trips and hubby Jed has been 6 times. Our kids love traveling to Bali too and Charlotte who is 7 years old has been lucky enough to go on 5 trips. I was 18 weeks pregnant with Mason when we visited in 2013, lucky the morning sickness stopped just before we left!! He also has been 3 other times. We have stayed in lots of different places in Bali including Seminyak, Sanur, Ubud, Kuta, Canggu, Jimbaran and Benoa.
Travel with M is always a tad tricky due to his Autism as his sense of safety is not great! He loves water and climbing, not a great combination when traveling anywhere but especially Bali. So finding safe accommodation for our family is really important so we can have a relaxing holiday as well. That is one of the main reasons I love doing this blog. It is a lot of work and I have learnt so much but have met so many lovely people along the way!

Something that often surprises people is that I suffered a stroke in October 2016. I share my experience of this life altering event with you in the blog and below you can find the posts I wrote in 2016/2017 about all that happened. I know its not directly related to travel to Bali with kids but hopefully these posts will be an inspiration to how having a passion like travelling to Bali can help.

Hubby Jed is a plumber and has a business in Victoria. We did FIFO (Fly in Fly out) for 5 years including the day that I had my stroke! It worked for our family for that period of time but it is fantastic to have him home.
My wonderful Mum is also no longer with us and is part of my inspiration to start this blog. She passed away November 2011 just 5 days before my 30th birthday, she was 51 years of age. We shared a love of travel, family and animals. She never got the chance to travel with us to Bali but I feel each time I return I am more at peace. A couple of posts to help explain why I started this blog can be found here and here.
So that’s a bit about me, would love to hear more about you! What do you love about Bali, have you never been and what craziness has been part of your life too. Feel free to message me through Facebook or Instagram, I’m usually there ;-) So here’s cheers to enjoying life while appreciating the ups and downs.
