Kids clubs Bali, which hotel has the best kids club and where should you stay? So many things to consider; price, location, facilities and of course how other families rate them. I am quite the villa fan as I love the space and quietness that a villa provides. However we are finding that as the kids get older, hotels with great kids clubs are usually what keeps them happy. Don’t worry I always still manage to book a few nights at a family friendly villa to keep me happy 🙂 Check out our posts on toddler friendly villas like the ones on Sanur, Seminyak, Legian, Canggu, Jimbaran and Ubud.
The following list of Bali hotels not only have great kids clubs but are some of the best places to stay in Bali. Well all know at times kids just want to chill out inside out of the heat and these kids clubs provide the perfect facilities to do this. Each kids club has different ages that they will take kids but most allow all ages as long as a nanny or adult accompanies them. So be sure to check each hotel before you book.
This is by no means an exhaustive list of all the hotels that would suit families in Bali, there are definitely cheaper and more expensive alternatives available where the kids can play in the pool and meet other kids. For us though, these hotels tick the boxes in regards to facilities and position. They all come with varying price tags and it can be a struggle to keep the budget reigned in especially when trying to fit in larger families. Feel free to contact me if you need some help finding a great deal as sometimes there are ways!!

We had a fabulous stay in September 2016. Our family suite rooms, 2 bedrooms interconnecting, had a great amount of space. The kids club was being renovated during our stay but our kids still had a blast in the temporary rooms.
On the beach in Kuta this is another option to check out to be close to Waterbom. Mixed reviews on the kids club so check out TripAdvisor for up to date information from other families. I walked through here in September 2016 and it had a lovely pool and garden area.
Next door to Discovery Mall and across the road to Waterbom, this kid friendly resort on the beach with kids club and pool area is worth a look.
Right in the centre of Kuta, the Hard Rock has great facilities for kids with a huge pool with water slides and kids clubs for different ages. The Roxity Kids Club looks fantastic and I’m not sure our kids would want to leave!!
A newish resort with a great kids club, Sheraton is in a fantastic position linked to the Beachwalk Mall. They also have an excellent Sunday Brunch so coinciding your stay over a Sunday is a great idea.
Dynasty is another favourite amongst families with a fantastic kids club and pool with water slides. It’s location is close to Waterbom park and if you can get a good deal it can be a fun family holiday! I looked through in September 2016 and the kids facilities looked fantastic. I was a little surprised it wasn’t directly on the beach but looked like a really fun resort especially for kids over 5 years.
Definitely one of the all time favourite resorts of families travelling to Bali. Getting on the expensive side but check out their website for longer stay deals or early bird specials which can also be combined with Padma Resort Ubud. When I emailed about our up and coming trip I was informed that children under 7 can’t stay in the Lagoon Access Rooms for safety reasons which is a wise policy! Can’t wait to stay here one day as the resort is always getting rave reviews.
Another choice on the beach close to the Padma. Pool area with water slides and the kids club has been updated so worth checking out.
We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartments in September 2016 for 3 nights. The kids club and kids pool area was a hit with the kids. It was hard to get them out and we loved the rooms, so much space. Was only a short walk to the beach or you could take the golf buggy to the beach area just for guests. Easy access to great restaurants nearby, this is one to check out.
This is one I’m keen to stay at as I love all the shopping and restaurants in Seminyak. I was always concerned with the location on the other side of Sunset Road but friends that have stayed have said it’s OK to get to and the security staff stop the traffic for you. The pool/sand area looks really fun for kids and the rooftop bar a great place for the parents to have a quiet drink or 10 😉
Located on the old Semara site right next to Potatohead Beach Club on Jl Petitenget, this new and fancy resort looks great. Definitely one to check out as I LOVE the position and the Tilo kids club in the old Cubbyhouse building is huge! Outside guests can also try out the kids club so contact the resort and be sure to mention us for more details.
Located directly across the street from Courtyard Seminyak, this resort has a couple of different pool areas and the kids corner looks great for younger kids. I really liked the layout of the resort and they even have a cinema room for the older kids that you can play any Dvd on.
A fantastic luxury beachfront resort in Sanur with outstanding kids facilities. If you can find a great deal for this place go for it, you won’t regret it!!
Located on Sanur beach the Mercure is a budget friendly option with interconnecting rooms. They also have family suites available which you have to email them about as they aren’t listed on their website. The kids club reviews tend to indicate that it’s quite basic but may still suit your needs for the price.
Another beach front option in Sanur with kids club and water slides in the kids pool area. We were close to booking this hotel too but decided on a villa instead.
Located on the bypass road in Sanur many families love this hotel for it’s budget friendly apartment options. The location will not suit everyone as it’s not close to the beach but the back gate on the beach side gives easier access to the main area of Sanur during the day. Be aware that there is also a Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel which is located an even further distance from the main part of Sanur and doesn’t have the same great kids facilities! The kids club here is not the traditional sign in and they are fully supervised, rather kids 6 and older can come and go as they please and kids under 6 require a parent or nanny with them.
Kids clubs in hotels in Ubud are pretty much non existent. The Padma is located at least a 30 minute drive from central Ubud and is set in beautiful surroundings. A great kids club and kids pool makes this one to have a look at if you need a break from the south.
An all inclusive option, Club Med certainly lives up to its reputation of delivering fantastic kids activities and facilities. Great deals come out at different times of the year with flight packages available too.
One of my favourite resorts in Nusa Dua with the kids facilities always rating well. One thing to note with the Kids Club is that the first 2 hours each day are free and after that it costs per hour.
Not directly located on the beach the Nusa Dua Courtyard has a great kids club and facilities for families while remaining within budget.
I have had family and friends stay at the Novotel Nusa Dua and they throughly enjoyed their stays. Although not located on the beach, there is a shuttle available, the pool areas and kids facilities make this a great option for families. There is also the option to privately rent out the 2 and 3 bedroom apartments through Flipkey which can help the budget go further.
A large resort with beautiful grounds and fun water slides in the pool, the Grand Hyatt has been around for years. The kids club does charge for access and at the time of writing was being renovated so worth checking out.
Another large Nusa Dua resort with a great kids club but maybe lacks specific kids pool for younger kids. Also check out reviews with regards to outside nannies looking after kids in the resort.
This was formerly the Grand Nikko but is now a Hilton Resort. A very large beach front resort, the Jungle Camp for kids 4-12 years gets good reviews and multiple pools make it a great place to explore.
We had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Benoa in June 2015. The kids loved it and it was a struggle to get them to leave the kids club!! If you are interested in reading more here is my review of Holiday Inn Benoa from our June 2015 stay.
Check out prices for Holiday Inn Benoa Here for Holiday Inn Benoa
Close to Holiday Inn Benoa is the Conrad resort. Fantastic kids club with great facilities expected of a Hilton hotel. Easy access to restaurants and supermarkets to get supplies.
This resort offers all inclusive packages as well as room only. Located near the Novotel Benoa on the beach this resort reviews well and kids seem to have a great time!
The Novotel Benoa is a favourite amongst friends who love their budget friendly rates for family rooms. Be sure to check out their website and reviews to decide which area is best for your family stay as the resort is split into 2 parts, 1 area on the beach with the other across the road.
Was very close to booking the Intercontinental for our September stay as the facilities and location right on the Jimbaran beach were very enticing! Beautiful grounds and perfect spot to take in Bali’s sunsets.
The sister resort to the Ayana, Rimba is an option to spend time in a 5 star resort with all the facilities. The kids club and pool gets great reviews with access to the Ayana Resort kids facilities a huge bonus! As the resorts are so spread out there is no real option other than driving to find other eating options. For the price though you probably wouldn’t want to leave!!
A new resort opened in 2016, the Movenpick resort has fantastic reviews on the kids facilities. Although not directly on the beach it’s kids club looks amazing.
This resort is located up the east coast near the Bali Safari and Marine Park. You can read about our stay here. It is a great surf resort that is expanding with more kids facilities including a kids club and it already has a skate park. I will update with more details once I hear back from them.
