Best family hotels in Bali? So many things to consider when choosing the best family resorts Bali has to offer; price, location, facilities and the most important thing, how other families rate them. I love staying in villas as the space and privacy that a villa provides is wonderful. However as the kids get older, Bali resorts with kids club are usually what keeps them happy. If you are unsure on what area of Bali is best for your family, check out our post here on where to stay.
As parents we all know at times our kids just need to chill out and escape the Bali heat. Bali kids clubs provide the perfect facilities to do this and staying in a Bali hotel with kids club, can make your Bali family holiday even better! Each Bali kids club has different ages they will accept, prices and much more! I have taken on the huge task of contacting each Bali resort with kids club and asking them questions that families want to know. This is a work in progress and I will let you know when I’m done and provide all the info here. If you are lucky enough to enjoy a Mum and Dad only trip to Bali check out this post on places to stay with amazing views.
While I’m getting all the details together I have only listed Bali hotels with kids clubs that we personally would stay at and that would suit families in Bali. There are definitely cheaper and more expensive alternatives available where kids can play in the pool and meet other kids. For us though, these hotels tick the boxes in regards to facilities, position and price. We highlight the Bali resorts that we have personally stayed at or viewed. Feel free to contact me if you need help finding a great deal as sometimes there are ways including checking out our Bali best deals post!!

- The staff were fantastic at the kids club and provided local mobile phones to parents so they could call if the kids wanted to be picked up.
- The kids club was being renovated during our stay but our kids still had a blast in the temporary rooms.
- There was plenty of toys for the kids to play with but as of March 2018 the new kids club had not been opened.
- The Holiday Inn Baruna also has a couple of outdoor play areas for the kids.
- Read our full review here.
- Right in the centre of Kuta, the Hard Rock has great facilities for kids with a huge pool with water slides and kids clubs for different ages. The Roxity Kids Club looks fantastic and I’m not sure our kids would want to leave!!
Played at kids club November 2017
Sheraton Bali Kuta is in a fantastic position linked to the Beachwalk Mall. Charlotte had a great play with the wonderful staff as they also allow outside guests to join in. A wading pool and playground outside make this fun for all the kids. They also have an excellent Sunday Brunch so coinciding your stay over a Sunday is a great idea.

Dynasty is one of the best family hotels in Bali and is a definite favourite with families. It has a fantastic kids club, pool with water slides and kids activities. It’s location is close to Waterbom park and if you can get a good deal it can be a fun family holiday! I looked through in September 2016 and the kids facilities looked fantastic. I was a little surprised it wasn’t directly on the beach but looked like a really fun resort especially for kids over 5 years. You can see more photos from our walk through here.
Definitely one of the all time favourite Bali family resorts and we can’t wait to stay there one day as the resort is always getting rave reviews. Getting on the expensive side but check out their website for longer stay deals or early bird specials which can also be combined with Padma Resort Ubud. When I emailed about our up and coming trip I was informed that children under 7 can’t stay in the Lagoon Access Rooms for safety reasons which is a wise policy!

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartments in September 2016 for 3 nights and you can check out our full review here. The kids club and kids pool area was a hit with the kids and it was hard to get them out! Was only a short walk to the beach or you could take the golf buggy to the beach area just for guests. Easy access to great restaurants nearby, this is one to check out for a great place to stay with your family in Bali.
The Trans Resort is high on my list to stay at as I love all the shopping and restaurants in Seminyak. I was always concerned with the location on the other side of Sunset Road but friends that have stayed have said it’s OK to get to and the security staff stop the traffic for you. The pool/sand area looks really fun for kids and the rooftop bar a great place for the parents to have a quiet drink or 10!
Located on the old Semara site right next to Potatohead Beach Club on Jl Petitenget, this new and fancy resort looks great. Definitely one to check out as I LOVE the position and the Tilo kids club in the old Cubbyhouse building is huge! Outside guests can also try out the kids club so contact the resort and be sure to mention us for more details.

Located directly across the street from Courtyard Seminyak, this resort has a couple of different pool areas and the kids corner looks great for younger kids. I really liked the layout of the resort and they even have a cinema room for the older kids that you can play any DVD on. You can check out more photos in our trip report from 2016 here.
A fantastic luxury beachfront resort in Sanur with outstanding kids facilities. If you can find a great deal for this place go for it, you won’t regret it!!
Another beach front option in Sanur with kids club and water slides in the kids pool area. We were close to booking this hotel too but decided on a villa instead.
Located on the bypass road in Sanur many families love this hotel for it’s budget friendly apartment options. The location will not suit everyone as it’s not close to the beach but the back gate on the beach side gives easier access to the main area of Sanur during the day. Be aware that there is also a Prime Plaza Hotel Sanur which is located an even further distance from the main part of Sanur and doesn’t have the same great kids facilities! The kids club here is not the traditional sign in and they are fully supervised, rather kids 6 and older can come and go as they please and kids under 6 require a parent or nanny with them.
An all inclusive option, Club Med certainly lives up to its reputation of delivering fantastic kids activities and facilities. Great deals come out at different times of the year with flight packages available too.
One of my favourite resorts in Nusa Dua with the kids facilities always rating well. One thing to note with the Kids Club is that the first 2 hours each day are free and after that it costs per hour.
I have had family and friends stay at the Novotel Nusa Dua and they throughly enjoyed their stays. Although not located on the beach, there is a shuttle available, the pool areas and kids facilities make this a great option for families. There is also the option to privately rent out the 2 and 3 bedroom apartments through Flipkey which can help the budget go further. The kids club is located right near the pool and is great for kids school aged kids.
This was formerly the Grand Nikko but is now a Hilton Resort. A very large beach front resort, the Jungle Camp for kids 4-12 years gets good reviews and multiple pools make it a great place to explore with the kids.
Stayed June 2015
We had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Benoa in June 2015. The kids loved it and it was a struggle to get them to leave the kids club!! If you are interested in reading more here is our review of Holiday Inn Benoa from our June 2015 stay.
Stayed November 2017
This resort in Benoa offers all inclusive packages as well as room only. They now have a new family wing that is so well set up with kids and the kids had a fantastic time playing in the kids club and games room. Highly recommended and you can check out our full review here.
The Movenpick Resort in Jimbaran is fantastic for kids with excellent kids facilities throughout the resort. I was really impressed when I had a look through in November 2017 of how big the kids club was. Plenty of space for all different ages and although the resort is not directly on the beach it’s kids club was amazing. Highly recommend for a stay with kids.
Was very close to booking the Intercontinental Jimbaran for our September stay as the facilities and location right on the Jimbaran beach were very enticing! Beautiful grounds and perfect spot to take in Bali’s sunsets. Outside guests can also access the kids club so check with the resort.
The sister resort to the Ayana, Rimba is an option to spend time in a 5 star resort with all the facilities. The kids club and pool gets great reviews with access to the Ayana Resort kids facilities a huge bonus! As the resorts are so spread out there is no real option other than driving to find other eating options. For the price though you probably wouldn’t want to leave!!
We had the most amazing stay at the Padma Ubud in November 2017 and you can check out our full review here. Our kids kept asking to go back and they even have bunk beds where the young ones can have a nap. Highly recommend this fantastic Bali resort with kids.
I hope this post helps with choosing where to stay if kids clubs in Bali are important to your family. They definitely make our holidays more relaxing as the kids are well looked after and get to do fun things like art and craft. This allows Mum and Dad to enjoy a relaxing time by the pool sipping cocktails.
