Our stay at Club Med Bali in Nusa Dua was the first time we have stayed in Nusa Dua and the first time we have done All-Inclusive at a Bali resort. We loved our stay and to be honest, it is probably the first time I truly relaxed the whole trip! Club Med Bali was perfect for both adults and kids. Families are well looked after and the staff were all so much fun!

Why should your family stay at Club Med Bali?
- You want an All-Inclusive Resort in Nusa Dua
- A beautiful beach with lots of space is important to you
- A supervised kids club by highly trained, English-speaking supervisors to care for your kids from a young age
- Nightly entertainment is your thing
- You truly want a relaxing holiday where you don’t have to think of a thing
- A huge rang of activities that you can do including golf, snorkeling, trapeze, yoga and much more
Club Med Bali Overview
There is only one way to explain the grounds at Club Med Bali, huge! I highly recommend taking a village tour on your first morning at Bali Club Med. This will help you understand where everything is and how the food/drinks work at the resort. Also where to find activities at certain times like the afternoon family fun event.
When you first get a quote from Club Med Bali it can seem expensive. But the value for money that Club Med inclusions offer definitely make up for this. I am a terrible at keeping to a budget on holidays, so it was nice to know that there wasn’t going to be a huge bill at the end! It was a fantastic place to stay.
I also love that kids up to the age of 18 get a discount when you book and that kids under 4 stay free! You can then choose if you want to pay for the kids under 4 to access the fantastic kids club or spend time with them, I love the flexibility of choosing!
Kids Pricing
- Tots under 4 stay FREE
- Kids from 4 to 11 are up to 40% off
- Teens from 12 to 17 are up to 20% off
Also make sure you download the Club Med App to your phone for during your stay. The WIFI is strong throughout the resort so this is easy to do when you arrive. The App provided up to date information on what was happening at what times during your stay. They also had the bulletin posted for each day near the entrance to the buffet breakfast at Agung Restaurant.
Please note: All the details provided in this blog post were relevant during our stay in April 2019. Things may change but it will give you a general overview of what to expect.
Pools at Club Med Bali
There are 3 separate pools at Club Med Bali plus the splash area within the kids club area.
- Main Pool
- Adults Only Zen Pool
- Spa Pool
Main Pool
9am-7pm a lifeguard on duty
Located near the lobby and Kintamani Bar, this is the place to have fun and cool off. A great pool for the kids, it is not deep so it’s easy for the kids to swim around. Features a toddler area for the younger ones to have a splash.
Zen Pool
Open 9am-7pm
This is what really relaxing holidays are about, a pool just for the adults while the kids are well looked after at the kids club. Wander around to this gorgeous pool and enjoy a drink.
Spa Pool
After you have enjoyed a spa treatment and you need even more quiet time away from the kids, check out the pool area at the Club Med Spa. A quiet space with a pool and spa tub, you won’t want to leave!
Restaurants at Club Med Bali
You will most certainly not go hungry at Club Med Nusa Dua! So much food and there is always something to eat or drink. Make yourself familiar with what time different restaurants are open so you can take advantage of the different food on offer.
The Agung Restaurant
The main restaurant at Club Med Bali, this buffet style restaurant is where the buffet breakfast is held each morning from 7am. They have a huge range of foods and if you have any special dietary needs just chat to the chefs. Each night they have different themes for the dinner food to indulge in, check out the schedule above of what was on offer the week we stayed.
The Deck Lounge
We loved dining at this a la carte restaurant and I would always have a light early breakfast with the kids at Agung, then head to The Deck for another morning latte and breakfast. The dinner each night was amazing! You need to book for dinner at night but make sure you do as the food was delicious. You can choose to sit in the air conditioned areas or outside by the water features. We had some great times with Evie and Emmie from Mum Pack Travel, was so lovely meeting these 2 gorgeous girls x
Kintamani Bar
This was the place to enjoy those delicious cocktails! The main bar area also has food at certain parts of the day. The food here tended to be more snack food to keep you going in between meals.
Note: Since our stay The Beach Bar has opened and is located along the beach in front of the trapeze. It is open from 12 – 6pm for sunset cocktails with sand between your toes.
Club Med Bali Kids Club
The kids club at Club Med Bali was fantastic! So many things for the kids to do and you could also join in on the daily activities for just a period of time. I loved watching the kids have a go at the trapeze and archery.
Kids from 4 months to 17 years are catered for at Club Med Bali Kids Clubs
- Baby Club: 4 to 23 months – at additional cost
- Petit Club: 2 to 3 years – at additional cost
- Mini Club: 4 to 10 years – included!
- Passworld / Junior Club: 11 to 17 years – included!
The staff were amazing and I was very impressed with how the whole program was run. The kids club operates more like a day care, rather than roster of activities, as it includes all-day care (if you want it) nap time, food etc.
Baby Club 4-23 months
8:30am-5pm
Babies and toddlers are well looked after by the Club Med staff. They have a separate nap area and they use strollers to take them out for daily walks around the resort.
Other baby services included in the Club Med package(this also includes toddlers up to 3 years):
-
- Baby Welcome Pack: all the essential equipment your bub needs on holiday included in your room upon arrival e.g. a cot, baby bathtub, potty, bottle warmers and sterilisers
- Baby Corner: area of the main restaurant featuring a choice of baby food as well as equipment to prepare the baby’s food such as a blender, sterilizer, bottle warmer, microwave and more
- Baby Feeding Rooms: 24 hour access
- In-resort infirmary: for basic medical attention
- Access to Bugaboo prams during your stay: limited availability so request upon booking
Petit Club Med 2-3 years
8:30am-5pm and 6:45pm-8:30pm
Space to play and to nap, it was always so gorgeous seeing all of the kids walking along with the staff having a great time.
Mini Club Med 4-10 years
8:30am to 5pm and 6:45pm to 8:30pm
This was the kids club that my 2 kids that are aged 5 and 8 years used. So much fun and there was always something to do!
We always find it difficult with Mason to leave him at kids clubs as with his autism he can be extremely challenging at times. Club Med was perfect for this as he could participate in the trapeze and other activities with us watching him. All the staff were fantastic and often our nanny would take him for a play in the kids club room.
Junior Club Med 11-17 years
9:30am to 7pm and 7pm to 8:30pm
A great way for teens to make friends on holidays, the kids in this age group were free to choose from the activities in the resort. They had friendly staff members guide them to try different activities or to just hang by the pool.
Nannies at Club Med Bali
If you are needing extra help like we do with Mason then you may want to consider using your own nanny or a Club Med Bali organised nanny.
Here are the details of nannies at Club Med Bali that we were quoted in April 2019.
Club Med organised nanny
Entrance fee for babysitter per day is 120000IDR (pay to reception) then 40000IDR per hour/child (pay directly to the nanny)
Your own nanny
You will need to purchase a day pass for the nanny.
- Day pass (from 10am-6pm) 920000IDR which includes facilities, lunch and bar.
- Night pass (from 6pm to midnight) 1100000IDR which includes facilities, show, events, dinner, bar
- Full pass (10am to midnight) 1700000IDR All-inclusive like regular guests without accommodation
Activities at Club Med Bali
There was always something to do at Club Med Nusa Dua! So many activities and we especially loved the Amazing Family Program that was scheduled each afternoon. One afternoon Mason walked out of our room to discover the gardens had been set up with jumping castles and slippery slides! So much fun x
The program is designed as surprise activities for parents and children to play together. They’re about ‘touch play’, learning about the local culture, and mixing with people from all over the world. Activities include: kite making and flying, treasure hunts, giant board games, family yoga, bubble party, Balinese offering making, and more.
Club Med Bali Shows
There was never a lack of entertainment for both the adults and kids at Club Med Bali. Every night there was a family show at the main stage at 8:15pm followed by a later show at 9:15pm. Easy access for prams and you could come and go as you pleased. They also had an on-site nightclub for the adults! Downstairs from the Agung Restaurant, you could party the night away after drinks at the Kintamani Bar.
Rooms at Club Med Bali
During our stay at Club Med Bali we stayed in the Interconnecting Deluxe Terrace Rooms. These rooms have so much space and were perfect for a family travelling together. These rooms can sleep up to 6 people and if you have 5 + kids or questions about the rooms, contact Club Med Bali directly.
The beds were really comfortable, international power points but only showers in both bathrooms. I loved the beautiful grassed terraces that our rooms opened out to. It was so easy walking to and from the pool. We stayed in rooms 2002 and 2003.
Club Med Bali Spa
So what else is there to do when the kids are being well looked after in the kids club, a massage of course! The Club Med Bali Spa is in a quiet location near the beach and I visited the spa twice, once for a 80 minute Balinese Massage and once for the Spa Discovery package which consisted of a massage and facial. Very relaxing and to give you an ideas of prices, sorry I forgot to take a picture of the price list as I was so relaxed, the 80 minute Balinese Massage was 1,000,000rp or approx. $100AUD including tax. The discount card when we checked in helped to make this cheaper.
Club Med Bali Gardens
The gardens were absolutely beautiful! So many places for the kids to run around and let off some steam. Also perfect to watch the sunrise when you have early risers like Mason!
Club Med Bali Beach
We loved the beach at Club Med, so much space and I think it has one of the nicest stretches of beaches in Nusa Dua. The perfect spot to the watch the beautiful sunrises and to enjoy the many water sports that Club Med Bali offers.
Club Med Bali Extra Information
- We have stayed at a lot of resorts in Bali and Club Med Bali’s security is definitely the tightest I have seen.
- There is an ATM located near security at the front of the resort that I used a couple of times and had no problems with it.
- Bali Collection is nearby and has a range of money changers, supermarkets, cafes, ATMs and even a small kids playground.
- Club Med Bali offered a range of excursions around Bali
I hope that this Club Med Bali review has helped you see what Club Med has to offer. We had the most relaxing stay and can’t wait to go back soon.
