We loved the location of the FuramaXclusive Ocean Beach Seminyak and enjoyed our stay in a 2 bedroom apartment in October 2019. The kids in particular had a great time with the splash zone and Waka Waka indoor playground.

FuramaXclusive Ocean Beach Seminyak Bali Overview
The Furama is located on the beachfront road Jl Pantai Legian close to the border of Seminyak and Legian. Jl Pantai Legian seperates the beach and the resort but is mainly used for scooters and the occasional van. You can get a taxi or private van to the front of the resort. At the front of the resort is the Ocean Beach Spa and resorts restaurants The Deck Cafe and The Barrel Pub & Grill. Next to The Deck Cafe is Waka Waka Indoor Playground. The lobby was being renovated during our stay but is located on the ground floor on the street.
The pool and splash zone area is located on level 1 next to the apartment buildings that also has a lift.
Pool and Splash Zone
The pool area was set over two levels with the splash zone located on the top pool. This was heaps of fun for the kids and they loved jumping off the edge into the lower pool.
One thing to note about the lower pool, it is very deep and not very wide. Most adults couldn’t stand up but they have lots of pool noodles to help you swim around. If you are going to be staying with small kids I would make sure they have a Wahu jacket or a floatie for bubs. The whirlpool tub was a lot of fun with the kids and the pool was a good temperature.
The lack of sun loungers around the pool can be an issue and the space around the pool is cramped. Also be mindful of the amount of towels you are allocated and make sure you give them back each day or at the end of your stay. Cards are given to each guest for a towel and these cards are to be given back at the end of your stay.
There is also a small playground with a trampoline and grass for the younger kids to run around next to the pool.
Apartments at FuramaXclusive Seminyak
The apartments at FuramaXclusive Seminyak have a range of different ones to suit everyone. They have studio rooms on the ground floor and 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments with either courtyard or ocean views from the balconies. If you are wanting privacy and great views, check out their 3 bedroom Penthouse Suites.
2 Bedroom Apartment
We were impressed with the amount of space in our 2 bedroom apartment and the kitchen facilities that had a full fridge/freezer, microwave and much more. Each bedroom was a good size and our apartment had showers but no bath. We didn’t have the usual amenities that you get at a 5 star resort but the rooms were comfortable.
The living space was great to chill out in but having the living areas so open to people walking past, wasn’t our thing. We had to use the blinds, which didn’t work that well, in the living area for privacy and if we were to stay again, we would choose the penthouse as it’s more private. I did like that our balcony was secure so we felt like we could leave clothes out to dry while we were out of the apartment.
See the pictures below for information in the our apartments book
IDR 150,000 per child per day
IDR 200,000 per child per day + combo meal included
IDR 300,000 per child 3 day pass
Socks are needed to play and you can purchase them at the entrance for IDR 20,000 a pair
Children aged 5 years and younger must have a parent or nanny stay with them while they play. Kids aged over 5 years can be left in the care of the kids club staff while you enjoy a shop or the spa located downstairs.
Newly opened in September 2019, this under water themed indoor playground is so much fun for the kids! Located right next to the Deck Cafe where FuramaXclusive breakfast is held. The kids had a great time in the pirate ship, climbing the rope walls and sliding on the slides.
They have arts and craft activities during the day and the different activties will have a cost involved with them. They also have birthday parties available at Waka-Waka. See their website for more details.
Please note: This is not a kids club for FuramaXclusive Seminyak. It costs the same for in-house and outside guests to access but they do have some promotions where play time is included for your stay or discounts available.
Restaurants at FuaramaXclusive Seminyak
The food we ate at FuramaXclusive Ocean Beach was good. We experienced breakfast, lunch and dinner plus a few cocktails too 😉
Breakfast at Deck Restaurant
There was a good amount of choice at breakfast time and I love how the crossiants were freshly made. The kids were kept happy with their usual juices, cereals, pancakes etc.
Lunch and Dinner at Deck Restaurant
We enjoyed a delicious lunch with the kids and our nanny Monica. The kids easily chose their favourites off the kids menu and for us the menu was so big it was hard to choose what we wanted to eat! Jed and I enjoyed a child free dinner and sat back relaxing enjoying happy hour. The service was fantastic in particular our waiter Wisi who was great entertainment and has worked for the hotel for many year.
The Barrel Pub and Grill
A great spot to watch football and enjoy drinks with family and friends. We didn’t eat here but the kids loved the ice cream.
There is room service available at FuramaXclusive Ocean Beach and you can find the menu below.
Ocean Beach Spa
Charlotte and I enjoyed a massage at the hotels spa that is located on the street so easy access for outside guests too. The massage rooms were quiet and the therapists were great. Would highly recommend having treatments here with family or a group of friends.
Outside the resort
There is so much to do around the resort. The location is fantastic and Double 6 beach is right there! We had a gorgeous sunset and enjoyed a drink on the beach before having dinner.
Santai Surf School is located just metres from the resort and our family always enjoys surf lessons with this reputable company. You can find our full review here of Santai Surf School.
Just outside FuramaXclusive Ocean Beach you will find a Circle K, ATMs, money changers and much more. You will also find Coffee Club Legian on Jl Pantai Legian, the same street that FuramaXclusive is located on and is only 200 metres from the resort.
If you are looking for a delicious coffee that is open early in the morning, they open at 6am, try Coffee Cutters a 5 minute walk from the resort. It’s easy to walk to down the gang next to Hotel Kumala Pantai and then you walk around to the right down Jl Werkudara. This is where we also got some laundry done at Dodik Laundry. Mugshots also does good coffee early in the morning.
If you walk in the other direction towards Seminyak you will find Cocoon Beach Club and Double 6 Resort. The Rooftop Sunset Bar at Double 6 is a great spot to watch the sunset and enjoy a yummy cocktail. La Plancha is a 5-10 minute walk along the beach. There is great shopping along Jl Arjuna that also has a favourite cafe of mine, Sacred Ground. They have yummy food and coffee that is reasonably priced. You can also keep walking around to Bintang Supermarket to stock up on supplies.
We loved the location of FuramaXclusive Ocean Beach Seminyak and it was perfect to explore the northern parts of Legian and southern Seminyak. We would stay again in a more private apartment and if we had lots of activities planned.
