I have now stayed twice at Montigo Resort Seminyak, once with friends and once with the kids, and loved it both times! The location is perfect if you want easy access to restaurants, coffee and shopping.

Montigo Seminyak Overview
Montigo is located on Jl Petitenget in Seminyak, Bali. It is a resort that has a range of guests including families, couples and friends. It is not a huge resort so walking around it is easy and pram friendly. The staff are so lovely and we have made great friends every time we go back to stay.
Montigo Seminyak Resort has many packages on their website and you can find their current offers here.
Pools at Montigo Resort Bali
There are 3 pools at Montigo Resort Seminyak which meant it was perfect for pool hopping with the kids!

Front pool near TIIGO Restaurant and Jl Petitenget
The pool near the road at Montigo Seminyak is located right next to TIIGO Restaurant so you get to have breakfast by the pool and can enjoy food 24 hours a day. It has a shallow area as well as a deeper area for swimming with seats in the pool for cocktails.
Family pool in the middle of the resort
The pool in the middle of The Montigo Resort is named the family pool and is long enough to do a few laps too! It has steps leading into the pool making it easy to get in and out of plus a shallow pool for the younger kids. The end closest to the gym is quite deep and my kids loved jumping off the end into the pool. The tiles surrounding this pool were a bit slippery when Mason was running around wet so something to keep an eye on with younger kids.

Garden pool near the 2 bedroom suites and garden pool suites
This was a great pool to relax with lots of grass for the kids to run around on. The steps leading into the pool were perfect to sit back and enjoy a drink plus the depth of the pool was good with kids. This pool is located at the back of the resort.

Kids Club at Montigo Resort Seminyak
Open 9am-11pm
The kids club is huge! Our kids loved chilling out in the air conditioned space while I enjoyed a massage at the spa. I came back to art work that the kids had done with the staff and best of all, I felt comfortable leaving Mason at the kids club without our nanny. It was very secure and the staff were very engaged with the kids.

Outside guests can also access the kids club for a fee, check out the photo below for costings to do this. Just arrive at the Montigo reception and they will direct you to the kids club which is just up the stairs. Also outside nannies can come and join in with your kids, so if you are in the area pop in for a play.

Rooms at Montigo Seminyak Resort
I have now stayed in 2 different room types at Montigo Seminyak, the Garden Suite rooms and Balcony Suite rooms. I have also viewed the 2 bedroom family suites and both the new premier and deluxe rooms in the tall building overlooking the family pool.
- Baby cots are complimentary and Wifi works well around the resort
- Each room has international power points
- The drinks in the fridge are one time complimentary, refills are chargeable

Garden Suite Rooms
We loved the garden suite rooms. There was plenty of space for the 3 of us and if hubby had come along on our trip we would have still fit in these rooms. The TV turns to face either the bed or the day bed and had a large range of channels.

Balcony Suite Rooms
Located upstairs from the Garden Suite rooms, these are the same size inside the room but have a balcony instead of a garden space. They are also located up a set of stairs.

2 Bedrooms Suites
The 2 bedroom suites are fantastic for families with so much space. A master bedroom with full ensuite and then the kids room with twin beds and another full ensuite. There is also a seperate lounge room with TV plus a powder room with a toilet. There are 4 of these suites available at Montigo Resort Seminyak, 2 down stairs and 2 up stairs. They have there own entrance area and are located at the back of the resort near the garden pool.

Upstairs

Garden Pool Suites
Located next to the garden pool, these rooms are more suited to couples or a parent and 1 child.

Premier Rooms
Theses rooms are located on the ground floor next to the family pool. Easy access to the pool and great value for money. More designed for a couple to stay in.

Deluxe Rooms
In the same building as the premier rooms, the deluxe rooms are located on the 1st floor and above. They have a balcony area and are smaller than the premier rooms.

Food at Montigo Resort Seminyak
The food at TIIGO Restaurant was of good quality and well priced. You can also enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner as an outside guest.
Breakfast
7am β 10:30am
There was a big range for the kids at breakfast with pancakes, cereal and lots more. I also love that you could order a latte that was included in the breakfast and was good.

Food by the pool
We enjoyed lunch by the family pool and there was staff to take our orders and deliver our food.

Room Service
We ordered room service for the kids and they loved the pizza! The food was delivered in a good amount of time and prices were reasonable. I love that you can get food 24 hours a day making it perfect to stay with a late flight into Bali.

TIIGO Restaurant for lunch or dinner
Open 24 hours
Happy hours from 3pm-6pm
I enjoyed dinner by myself while the kids were asleep with our nanny in the room. Big menu, yummy cocktails and great service.
Check out the menu at TIIGO Restaurant below

Spa at Montigo Resort Seminyak
Open 9am to 11pm
I enjoyed a Balinese massage both times I stayed at Montigo Seminyak Resort and I must say it is one of the best I have had in Bali! The prices are very reasonable for a resort and the spa building is huge! You can access the spa as an outside guest and the best part is you can pop the kids into the kids club and then enjoy a massage π
Charlotte also enjoyed a kids pedicure and was treated like a princess.
Montigo Spa Menu April 2019
The following prices are in rupiah and you just need to add on three zeros. For example the 90 minute hot stone massage is 400,000rp which is around $40AUD. The prices below include service charge and taxes.

We were hosted by Montigo Resort Seminyak but all thoughts in this review are our own.
Β
Iβve always wanted to visit Bali. Those Garden Pool Suites in the first hotel look amazing.
Hi Kate,
If you are a guest is there any extra charge for the Tilo Kids Club?
Hi Sherry, no there is no charge for in-house guests π
Great review and information.
Thanks Kate
Thanks π
Hi Kate,
My husband and I are going in May 2020 with our then 16month old β first trip with our little boy. Do you recommend any place in particular to stay (was looking at Mandira or Montigo) or doesnβt really matter with a bub so young? We will have a nanny with us most days to go into kids club etc. I would love your advice.
Thanks so much,
Maddi
I have replied above but I think at that age all they do is swim, play and eat so I would stay where you want to x
Hi!! We will be visiting next May with our 16 month old for the first time as a family β I am wondering where you would recommend to stay or it wouldnβt really matter with our boy being so young? We have tentatively booked the Bali Mandira but I am now looking at Montigo? Any advice would greatly be appreciated π
Hi, I think they are both great resorts x Mandira is directly on the beach and is closer to access the markets of Legian. Montigo is more in the heart of Petitenget which has amazing boutique shopping and restaurants. Cheers, Kate
Hi Kate,
I will be going to Montigo with my bf and bub in Jan. She will be 18 months by then. Are there nannies available to hire at Montigo? Is the Kids club like a daycare? Or do parents need to stay there with the children? Do you think the Garden Suite will be okay? Is it new like the other rooms?
The garden suites are great, we have stayed in those rooms too. At 18 mths a parent or nanny will need to accompany your daughter to the kids club. We organise our own nannies but Montigo will be able to help you out too π
