We love Sanur and it was great to finally stay at Prime Plaza Suites Sanur. I often get asked about great value, family friendly places especially for larger families and Prime Plaza Suites ticks all these boxes.

Why should your family stay at Prime Plaza Suites Sanur?
- You want a large apartment with plenty of room to spread out without it costing a small fortune
- A fun water slide that is easy for the kids to go up and down all day long
- Toddler pools with shade and a playground in a grassed area
- Kids activities and plenty of opportunity for your kids to meet other kids
- Beach location is not a priority for you and you are happy to catch the occasional quick taxi rides or go for a short walk
Prime Plaza Suites Sanur Overview
Located on the Bypass road in Sanur, Prime Plaza Suites is a compact resort but has huge apartments. When researching Bali family hotels it was obvious that you get great value for the size of the rooms. The kids pool is also a hit with the kids! Seperated from the main pool by Camp Splash, the kids club area, the water slide is a great size for all ages. The toddler pool and playground are well shaded.
The photos below explain the location in Sanur and transport options available. Blue Bird taxis are easily available in Sanur and it is easy to get around by car or on foot. The street to Hardy’s is pram friendly and our kids easily walk it.
Pools at Prime Plaza Suites Sanur
There are 2 pools at Prime Plaza Suites, the Kids Pool and the Main Pool.
Both were a great temperature and the kids had so much fun!
Kids Pool
Open 9am-6pm
The kids pool was an absolute hit with our kids. Mason would have gone up and down the slide at least 50 times! Below the tower of the water slide is a toilet so is easy access for the kids.
Note: With younger kids or escape artists like Mason, on the other side of the water slide tower is a small basketball court. It appears that the area is secure but there is a small area that the kids can get through which leads out to the front area and the main bypass. I did bring it to the attention of the resort so it may now be rectified.
Main Pool
The main pool area was lovely to relax by and included a toddlers splashing pool. Plenty of sun loungers and spaces by the pool to eat.
Camp Splash at Prime Plaza Suites
Open 9am-6pm
The kids club at Prime Plaza Suites is not a traditional day care where you can drop the kids off and leave. It is from ages 6-12 years that can swim and they keep an eye on your kids but the kids are free to come and go as they please. If you are wanting to leave the resort while the kids have fun you will need to organise either your own nanny to watch the kids or one of the hotel babysitters for a small fee.
The staff organise activities throughout the day and all kids have access to the games area between the main and kids pools. Our kids had a great time joining in on the activities and playing with the games.
Rooms at Prime Plaza Suites
The apartments at Prime Plaza Suites are huge! You can find all about their different rooms on the website at this link here. They even have apartments that will sleep up to 7 people and they are great value for a family resort with kids facilities.
2 Bedroom Balcony Suite
We stayed in the 2 bedroom suites with a balcony in room 2118 overlooking the main pool. Huge lounge room, full kitchen including a water filter dispenser, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Food at Prime Plaza Suites
Breakfast
The kids enjoyed breakfast at Prime Plaza Suites choosing cereal, pancakes and juice! For me the buffet spread was lacking some of the usual treats that I like and I was charged 45000rp or $4.50AUD for a latte that was just ok to drink.
If you choose not to buy an accommodation package with breakfast here are the prices when you purchase them at the resort.
- Breakfast is free for children under 5 years old for adults who purchase breakfast.
- Children from 5 to 12 years old get 50% discount on breakfast coupon.
Food by the pool
The kids loved the pizza and nuggets by the pool. The kids menu had a good selection for the kids to choose from at reasonable prices for a resort.
Spa at Prime Plaza Suites
The onsite spa at Prime Plaza Suites was located conveniently near the main pool. For prices check out the spa price list here.
Access to Prime Plaza Suites
As I spoke about earlier in the post, one thing to consider about staying at Prime Plaza Suites is access. The Bypass road is not suitable for walking with young kids and the video below shows me walking the bypass road. I found it no worries to walk but with the kids I wouldn’t attempt it.
The walk to Hardy’s is easy from the back gate that is open from 7am to 6pm for security reasons. One suggestion from a lot of readers who love staying at Prime Plaza Suites, is to walk out the back gate before 6pm and use one of the many Blue Bird Taxi’s back to the resort when you are finished dinner.

Nannies: As I was travelling by myself with the kids and had already sent our nanny Kadek home as she had been with us since 8am, I started chatting to Yugi by the kids pool. She was working as a Camp Splash staff member but also does nannying. To be honest I can’t remember what she charged, I think it was $7 per hour but I was just happy to go out for dinner by myself!
I hope you enjoyed our review of Prime Plaza Suites Sanur. Check out their website for more details and to book a room.

We were hosted by Prime Plaza Suites Sanur but all thoughts in this review are our own.
Did you happen to notice the gym facilities? Was there a treadmill?
No sorry I didn’t!
The gym is hidden away under the restaurant and you wouldn’t even notice it was there unless you go looking for it. They have a good range of items to use.
Thanks for the tip! Next time we stay I will go check it out 🙂
Do they not make fresh eggs to order like other resorts in Bali do? Thanks
We haven’t stayed at Prime Plaza Suites since 2019 so they may offer fresh eggs to order.
