We have found the ultimate Bali family villa! Villa Joju Bali was designed by a Bali-loving family for parents and kids to enjoy, especially families with younger kids. We have stayed twice at Villa Joju, in October 2019 and August 2023. For more photos and details about Villa Joju Bali check out their website. It includes a floor plan plus all the details of what the rate per night includes.

Entry to Villa Joju

Villa Joju Bali Overview

Villa Joju is located in the Berawa area of Canggu and consists of four king bedrooms plus an amazing kid’s bunk room with six beds located off the master suite. There is only one word to describe this villa: WOW!

Villa Joju Bali

Features of Villa Joju Bali:

  • Four air-conditioned king bedrooms
  • One air-conditioned kid’s bedroom (Six bunk beds)
  • One air-conditioned media room with TV
  • Four en-suites plus one powder room downstairs
  • Complimentary travel cot, high chairs, stair gate, sterilizer, baby bath products, pool fence, bouncy castle, fish spa, plus so much more
  • Breakfast is included, and the villa is fully staffed
  • Airport transfers included
  • Villa Joju Alit next door is a four-bedroom villa that can be booked separately or booked together with Villa Joju to increase the capacity to 22 people plus infants

Villa Joju Bali Pool and Gardens

The gardens are perfect for the kids to run around in, and the pool is a great depth for the whole family. There is a shallow section for babies and toddlers, plus the pool gently slopes to a deeper depth for the older kids.

A pool fence can be organized like the one we had for our stay in 2019. It was very sturdy and the pool gate was difficult for the kids to get in. The fish spa was a favourite for the whole family, with lots of squeals of delight as the tiny fish nibbled at our feet! The staff can also cover the Fish Spa if you are concerned about toddlers going for a splash.

Villa Joju Bali Bedrooms and Bathrooms

The bedrooms and bathrooms are pure luxuries. I will make a big call; they are the best beds I have ever slept in Bali! The sheets were of the highest quality, and the beds were extra comfy. International charging points, WIFI that works well in each bedroom, a great-sized wardrobe, and block-out curtains. Each of the king bedrooms also had a safe in the wardrobe.

Kids bedroom next to the master suite

Sleeps 6

It’s not often that I find it hard to get the kids to leave their bedrooms in Bali, but Villa Joju’s giant kids’ room did just that! The bunk beds were extra comfy and big enough for teenagers and even a husband who was kicked out of the master bed in the middle of the night!

The kid’s bedroom sleeps 6 kids, and the doors on either side of the room were locked with a key. The only access point to the room was through the master suite bedroom, making it extra safe for the kids. The trundle beds can also be moved to other bedrooms if the kids prefer to sleep with their parents.

The range of toys and books meant that this bedroom became the kid’s playroom during the day. Air conditioning kept the room at a great temperature, and there was a night light for when the kids went to bed.

Master Suite Bedroom

Sleeps 2

The master suite is adjacent to the kid’s bedroom and the media room. It has the largest bathroom in the villa, and I spent a lot of time chilling out in there. I even enjoyed a bath once the kids were in bed. The wardrobe has plenty of space for luggage, and the air conditioning keeps the room at a great temperature.

Villa Joju Bali Living Spaces

There are so many different living spaces in Villa Joju that you can always find a quiet spot, even with the kids around! The sunken lounge was one of our favourite spots in the villa. It was the perfect spot to read a book or sit together as a family and chat.

The air-conditioned media room located next to the master bedroom was a place the kids liked to go to chill out mid-afternoon after they had fun in the pool. Featuring the only TV in the villa, we could log into the Smart TV into our Netflix account and watch a movie of their choice.

The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed, including a first aid kit. The powder room next to the kitchen was great for easy access to the toilet.

Watching the sunrise from the upstairs deck made me forget very quickly about Mason’s 5 a.m. wake-ups! It’s a beautiful spot to sit back and enjoy a morning coffee or a drink as the sun goes down.

Food and Drinks at Villa Joju Bali

To be honest, you never have to leave Villa Joju! You can organize Sri, the villa chef, to cook the most delicious meals. We enjoyed a BBQ dinner one night and a selection of Asian dishes another night. Ayu sent us the villa menu before our stay so we could look through it and determine what we would like to eat. They had fantastic kid meal options that were both yummy and healthy. This was especially great with Mason, as we could order exactly what he would eat!

The staff organized drinks in the fridge that we requested, such as Bintangs, wine, and juices. We paid for these drinks, and the staff would deliver them to us while we relaxed poolside. The kitchen was free for us to use as well, and we stocked up with supplies from the local mini-mart for those times that the kids were hungry between meals.

We loved having breakfast cooked each morning, the kids loved the pancakes and fruit while we enjoyed a plate of eggs and bacon. Coffee was delivered to us prior to breakfast while we relaxed in the sunken lounge.

The connection between Villa Joju and Villa Joju Alit

Villa Joju Alit has its own laneway entrance to the front door and access to the Balinese gate into Villa Joju. If you don’t book both villas, you won’t notice the other people staying in either villa, and you may never see them unless you walk down the gang outside Villa Joju simultaneously.

Villa Joju Bali Staff

As you can tell by now we love staying at Villa Joju. The interiors, pool, and gardens were just so beautiful, but the one aspect that made our stay perfect was the staff.

The villa is fully staffed during the day from 7 am-11 pm, but it never felt intrusive as they have their staff area. This made it super easy to get help booking a taxi or asking any questions we had, but not feel like we had staff around us all day. At night, from 11 pm to 7 am, there is a security guard to ensure the villa stays secure and to check if you have any issues during the night.

Ayu, the villa manager, is lovely and easy to chat with. She will organize anything you need. She kept a detailed record of groceries purchased by the staff during our stay, so we could just pay her cash.

The staff did a great job decorating the villa for Charlotte’s birthday and organizing for Marshall from Paw Patrol to bring her cake from Poule De Luxe. I feel very blessed to have met such lovely people.

Villa Joju Bali Neighbourhood

We loved the area around Villa Joju and found lots of places around the villa. There are restaurants, spas, mini marts, ATMs, money changers, and laundromats all within walking distance. A short drive from the villa were places like Parklife Bali, Finns Recreation Club, Milk and Madu, Bali Equestrian Centre, Finns Beach Club, and the Atlas Beach Club. The location was also easy to get to Seminyak, about a 45-minute drive from the airport.

If you would like to receive a discount or find out prices for use of only a couple of bedrooms, contact the villa directly via email and mention Rolling Along With Kids.
