Hard Rock Kuta Overview

Hard Rock Hotel Bali is located in Kuta and is separated from Kuta Beach by a one-way street. The street does get busy but is easy to cross. The driveway for car entry into the Hard Rock resort is from Kuta Beach Street. This is the access to the resort 24 hours and security at the gate 24 hours a day. There is an exit gate near the Rock Shop next to Jaime Oliver Kitchen. This is only open from 10 am to 10 pm each day and you will need your room swipe card to reenter the Hard Rock resort.

We loved having access to the Rock Royalty privileges during our recent stay. I loved eating breakfast from the a la carte menu and the cocktail hour was a definite bonus!

Pools at Hard Rock Bali

There are 2 pools at Hard Rock Bali. The Main Pool area with slides, a kid’s water park, a swim-up bar, a sand bar and the place where activities take place including rock climbing, a movie on the sand island, foam party etc. The second pool is the Chill Out Pool located in the Chill Out wing. This pool can only be accessed by guests staying in the Chill Out wing rooms and suites. Kids are welcome to use this pool that also includes a spa but the pool activities all happen at the main pool area.

Main Pool

The main pool has something for everyone! A large space with many areas to explore. I recommend hiring a cabana if you plan to enjoy a full day by the pool. It is the perfect spot to sit back and relax while the kids enjoy the activities around the pool. You can access your cabana from 9 am to 9 pm and come and go as you please.

You can book a cabana at the pool hut near the main pool. If there is a specific cabana you want to book or only have a particular day to hire a cabana, contact the reservation team before your stay and book a cabana.

Currently, day passes aren’t available for outside guests. The hotel facilities are only for in-house guests and stage pass members.

Chill Out Pool

For guests staying in wings 1, 2 and 3 they have exclusive access to the chillout pool. The pool is lovely to sit back and relax by plus the kids are welcome to swim in the pool. Choose a ground-floor room for direct access to the pool area.

Restaurants at Hard Rock Bali

There is a great range of restaurant options at the Hard Rock Bali. We ate breakfast at the Starz Diner, lunch and dinner by the pool from the Splash Bistro, drinks from the swim-up pool bar The Shack, dinner at Jaime Oliver Kitchen and a drink at the Centerstage bar. Starz Diner

Great range of food for breakfast and when I requested soy milk they brought it to our table. Also a hot tip from our Facebook group member, they will make up hash browns if you ask 😉

There is also a separate breakfast area connected to the Starz Diner that has the same range of food available. So if the main area at Starz Diner gets too busy, you may consider eating in the other space.

Breakfast is open from 6:30 am to 10:30 am, Lunch 12 pm to 5 pm and Dinner 6 pm to 9:30 pm.

Breakfast at Rock Royalty near Chill Out Pool

Rock Royalty takes your stay to another level! You can enjoy a la carte breakfast and also eat from the smaller buffet selection in the private indoor or outdoor sections near the chillout pool. Check out this link for inclusions with Rock Royalty.

Splash Bistro

Great range of food by the pool. Typical hotel prices but look out for happy hours times which are currently from 4:30 pm to 6 pm 😉 Open from 10 am to 6 pm each day.

Each night except Saturday night, Splash Bistro turns into Splash On Fire. Open from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Centerstage

Located in the centre of the resort, the Centerstage is a great spot to chill out if you are waiting for your driver to arrive, enjoy live music and spend time with friends. They have nightly entertainment that is a lot of fun. Open from 10 am to midnight each day.

Jaime Oliver Kitchen

We have had great meals at Jaime Oliver Kitchen located next to the Hard Rock Hotel. On our last visit in 2024, our food was so delicious, everyone was super happy with their food! Highly recommend and they also have discounts for guests staying at the Hard Rock.

Hard Rock Bali Kids Clubs

The Hard Rock Bali has something for every age group! The Roxity Kids Club has a great range of activities and is included in certain suite/room types. Other guests can join in but will need to purchase a pass for the kids to participate. This is easy to organise and can be done during your stay at the Hard Rock Bali. See below for prices to join in on the fun at The Roxity Kids Club.

Lullaby Playroom

Ages: Under 4 years old

Open: Daily 10 am to 6 pm

Free of charge and kids must be accompanied by an adult. This can be an outside nanny. The room is located off the TABU Teens Club. Please note: I didn’t take photos of the rest of the room as there were children playing while I was there.

Roxity Kids Club

Ages: 4-12 years old

Open: Daily 9 am to 6 pm

Outside nannies or parents aren’t allowed to be with the kids in the kids club. Nannies are welcome to wait outside in the playground or have a seat in the TABU Teens Club room. Everyone can access the outside playground. See the photos below for the costs involved if it is not included in the room type you are staying in.

TABU Teens Club

Ages: Everyone is welcome but children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. This can be an outside nanny.

Open: 10 am to 6 pm

Free of charge and a fantastic place to hang out. Pool table, games, cinema, snacks available, internet/gaming lounge, the list goes on! Located across the corridor from the Roxity Kids Club, is the perfect place to chill out after a day in the sun. Snacks are available to purchase and they staff can put on a movie in the cinema or help with the gaming lounge.

Rooms at Hard Rock Bali

There are 2 accommodation wings at the Hard Rock.

Family Courtyard Wing features a beautiful garden with outdoor chess board, lounges and fish ponds. The rooms surrounding the family courtyard only have access to the main pool. These rooms have easy access to the gym and kid’s clubs.

Chillout Wing surrounds the chillout pool and the pool is only accessed by guests in this accommodation wing. The Rock Royalty Lounge is also in this wing.

Family Courtyard

The Family Courtyard includes the Deluxe Courtyard rooms on the ground floor and the Deluxe rooms for the upper levels.

Deluxe Courtyard Rooms

Sleeping up to 4 people we loved staying in these rooms. Plenty of space and it was great to have direct access out into the courtyard. You can request interconnected rooms if you have a larger family.

Roxity Family Suite

The family suites are a great option for families. The kid’s bunk beds are best suited for kids under 10 and it may be hard to leave the suite as they have so many features including a play station for the kids in the bunk room! These rooms don’t have direct pool access but overlook the chillout pool.

Deluxe Suite

The Deluxe Suites were extremely spacious with the main bedroom and couch in the lounge room that turns into 2 single beds. Two of the Deluxe Suites have direct pool access and two suites don’t have direct pool access.

Loft Room

The loft rooms are a great option for larger families with teenagers. Located in the Chillout wing, the loft rooms feature 3 queen-sized beds sleeping up to 6. The loft bedroom is up a steep set of stairs and is very high up but our teenagers enjoyed having their own space. These rooms look out over the gardens not over the chillout pool.

Interconnected loft rooms are available. Please note that the windows do not open to the outside so there is no outside drying space for wet swimmers.

King Suite

If you are looking for the ultimate stay at The Hard Rock Bali the King Suite is for you! This 2 bedroom suite has a huge amount of room and even includes a pool table and jacuzzi! Sleeps up to 4 people, you won’t want to leave the suite! Also includes the Rock Royalty privileges and airport transfers.

Hard Rock Bali Rock Spa

We had a great massage at the Rock Spa and the spa is located above the gym. Allow yourself plenty of time before your massage as they have a spa and sauna facilities that you are welcome to use. Find the spa menu and opening hours at this link here.

Body Rock Gym

The gym was well-equipped and open from 6 am to 9 pm. Guests aged 16 years and older are welcome to use the gym, spa, plunge pool and sauna located next to the gym.

Nearby to Hard Rock Bali

Hard Rock Bali is located in Kuta and there is lots to do around the resort. Here are a few places we visited over the last couple of years.

Beachwalk Mall

A short walk from the Hard Rock, the Beachwalk Shopping Mall has a great range of shops and includes cinemas plus a range of restaurants.

Kuta Beach

We loved both sunrise and sunset down at Kuta Beach. They also have a turtle release on different days throughout the year at the Bali Sea Turtle Society. Check out their Facebook page for up-to-date information.

The Bare Bottle Kuta

My favourite coffee shop close to Hard Rock Bali. The almond lattes are delicious and a bonus is they use Milk Lab milks! Food is also yummy and great prices.

Crumb and Coaster Cafe

One of my favourite finds was Crumb and Coaster Cafe. A 10-minute walk from Hard Rock Bali, they have great coffee, and delicious food. Highly recommend a visit.

Fat Chow Bali

One of our favourite restaurants in Bali is Fat Chow. Located a short walk from the Hard Rock, the food is authentic, delicious and cheap! Highly recommended.

There is a great range of market shopping close to the Hard Rock Bali.

Spas close to Hard Rock Bali

We didn’t have time to try out spas close to the hotel in Kuta but a Facebook Group member recommended Smart Salon Kuta. The spa is located just past Jaime Oliver Kitchen.
